No. 6: Shockers Complete First Full Season Under Wedge

Wichita State baseball is 44-25 over the abbreviated 2020 and the 2021 seasons. That winning percentage of 64 percent shows the Shockers are not where they want to be, but close enough to see the plan works.

Zoom in to the final month of 2021 to get an even better look at how coach Eric Wedge plans to get the Shockers back to an NCAA regional.

Starting April 30, the Shockers split a four-game series with No. 8 East Carolina, an eventual regional champion, to start an 11-8 finish to the season. They went 7-7 against teams in the top 100 of the RPI, allowing them to finish third in the American Athletic Conference.
