MANHATTAN, Kan. – Playing for a third-straight match with just five active players, the Wichita State women's tennis team fell 6-1 at No. 56 Kansas State, Sunday afternoon at Mike Goss Tennis Stadium.
"I'm really proud of them all for fighting despite the difficult situation we're in," WSU head coach said. "K-State has a very solid team and we made them play well late in sets, which they did.
With the Shockers unable to field a complete lineup, K-State (8-8) claimed easy points in doubles and at No. 6 singles. The Wildcats also won four of the five singles battles in straight sets.
