WICHITA, Kan. – No. 23 Wichita State scored only three runs on Sunday, all on home runs, but it proved to be enough to take down South Florida, 3-2, at Wilkins Stadium.
Wichita State (30-7, 5-1) recorded its first-ever regular season sweep of South Florida, outscoring the Bulls over three games, 25-5. The Shockers also secured another 30-win season, marking the ninth straight season with 30 or more (not counting the COVID-shortened 2020 season).
The Shocker bats picked up where they left off on Saturday, hitting three home runs in the first three innings, but went silent over the final three.
