BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – The Wichita State track and field team wrapped up day two of the American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships Saturday in Birmingham, Alabama.
Adria Navajon highlighted the day with a victory in the heptathlon with 5616 points, recording personal bests in five of the seven events and setting championship records in the heptathlon high jump and long jump. He also placed seventh in the open 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.57.
"Adria Navajon was tremendous," head coach Steve Rainbolt said. "To win the heptathlon against his own extremely tough teammate, Tanner Brown.
