MANHATTAN, Kan. – Wichita State's multi-event athletes are set to compete in the pentathlon and heptathlon Thursday and Friday at Ahearn Fieldhouse.
The Shockers' women's pentathlon squad came in at No. 4 in the season's first USTFCCCA event squad rankings, which averages the top-four athletes' marks from each team in the event. Wichita State averages 3,593 points in the pentathlon.
The Shockers are led by Destiny Masters, who broke the Wichita State pentathlon record in December with 4,151 points at the Shocker Multi. She currently ranks fifth in the nation with that mark.
