TOPEKA, Kan. – Adam Moore claimed the outright school record with his 4:01.08 performance in the mile at the Ichabod Invitational in Topeka on Saturday.
Moore had previously tied the 43-year-old record, set by Alan Walker, at the Adidas Classic in Nebraska at the end of January. His new record-breaking time ranks him third in the conference in the event. Bryce Merriman also ran a new personal best in the mile with a time of 4:10.97 to place seventh.
In the women's mile, Yazmine Wright won the event by almost 15 seconds to set a new facility and meet record at Washburn and move up to fourth all-time in Shocker history.
