Miscues Mount in Loss at ECU

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Wichita State committed 21 turnovers and shot just 38 percent from the field in a road loss at ECU, 78-56, Wednesday night in Minges Coliseum.

Wichita State (7-8, 0-2) dropped below the .500 mark for the first time this season with the loss. For the second straight game Wichita State lost the rebounding battle (48-28), while allowing 21 offensive rebounds. ECU's plus-20 advantage on the glass was a new season high for a Shocker opponent.

ECU (10-5, 1-1) came away with 14 steals and outscored WSU 40-18 in the paint. Despite committing 21 turnovers, WSU won that battle, as ECU turned it over 25 times.
