OMAHA, Neb. – Erin McDonald threw a complete-game one-hitter in Wichita State's 3-1 win at Omaha Wednesday evening.
Wichita State won its fourth straight game to improve to 15-7 on the season.
McDonald (3-4) tied a career high with 11 strikeouts in the complete game, allowing just the one hit, a solo home run, and walked three. The senior has now recorded back-to-back stellar outings in the circle after 5.2 innings of shutout relief in the win at Kansas on Monday.
Sydney McKinney pushed her hitting streak to 17 with a 2-for-3 day at the plate, which included a double and a run scored.
