MANHATTAN, Kan. – Wichita State senior Destiny Masters recorded the best pentathlon score in the American Athletic Conference and 10th-best mark in the NCAA this season to finish eighth in a stacked field Friday afternoon at the DeLoss Dodds Invitational at the Cliff Rovelto Indoor Track.
The back-to-back NCAA pentathlon champion from Notre Dame, Jadin O'Brien, took the crown with an NCAA-leading score of 4,552 points, competing amongst five other NCAA multi-event All-Americans, including Masters.
Masters put up 4,083 points in her first complete pentathlon of the season, tying for the best high jump clearance of the day at 1.
