BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Wichita's State's Destiny Masters and Josh Parrish secured podium finishes on day one of the American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships Friday at the Birmingham CrossPlex.
For the third-straight AAC Indoor Championships, Masters landed on the podium in the pentathlon, scoring 4,065 points. After a disappointing indoor season riddled with illness and injuries, the senior from El Dorado, Kan. put together a silver medal pentathlon to score eight points for the Shockers.
Sophomore Josh Parrish claimed his first AAC Indoor Championship medal, placing third in the long jump with a leap of 7.
