Masters, Palen Selected to Compete at U.S. Olympic Trials

Two Shockers are headed to the United States Olympic Team Trials to compete in the high jump from June 22-30 at Hayward Field in Eugene, Ore.

Destiny Masters and Brady Palen, both coming off All-American performances at the NCAA Outdoor Championships, have been accepted into the U.S. Olympic Trials in the high jump.

Masters' clearance of 1.86m/6'1.25" from her American Athletic Conference Indoor Championships victory was one centimeter shy of the auto qualifying mark but was enough to make her one of 22 accepted entries.

Palen's season best of 2.20m/7'2.5", which he cleared at both the Arkansas Spring Invitational and the Ward Haylett Invitational was three centimeters short of the auto qualifying bar but was also accepted as one of 25 entries.
