MANHATTAN, Kan. – Destiny Masters set another Wichita State pentathlon record, scoring 4,211 points to win the Austra Skujyte Pentathlon at the K-State Multis Thursday in the Ahearn Fieldhouse.
The junior from El Dorado, Kan. opened the pentathlon with a personal best-tying 8.37 in the 60-meter hurdles to tie for the lead with 1,046 points and set a new meet record in the event.
Masters moved on to the high jump, where she cleared 1.80m/5'10.75", her fourth time clearing at least 1.80m this season, scoring 978 points to take the outright lead.
