SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Led by top-five performances from Dawson Lewis and Brock Polhill, the Wichita State men's golf team secured third place at the Twin Oaks Intercollegiate for their best finish of the 2021-22 season.
Three of the five Shockers in the lineup either matched or bested their previous career-high finish.
Lewis and Scheufler ended in a tie for third at four-under, one stroke back of Valparaiso's Yianni Kostouros and individual champion Dustin Hasley of Oral Roberts. ORU ultimately won the team title, shooting 273-280 (-15) to pull away from Valparaiso at 278-282 (-8) and Wichita State at 276-287 (-5).
