Kansas State junior Christoff Bryan won the men’s high jump Friday at the NCAA outdoor championships in Eugene, Ore.
Bryan cleared 7 feet, 3 inches. He finished second at last year’s NCAA meet.
Wichita State’s Nikki Larch-Miller was ninth after the first day of the heptathlon. Larch-Miller had 3,308 points, 435 behind leader Kendell Williams of Georgia and two points out of eighth place. The top eight finishers earn All-America honors.
WSU’s Gavyn Yetter was 14th (3,166) and Breanne Borman (3,149) was 15th. Kansas State freshman Nina Schultz was fifth with 3,486 points.
Larch-Miller collected 1,023 points in the first event, running the 110-meter hurdles in 13.
