WICHITA – and led Wichita State to a 75-65 exhibition win over Missouri Southern State Wednesday evening in Charles Koch Arena.
"It was a great effort for us," first-year head coach said. "I'm happy with us getting a win and everybody getting a chance to play. We had a great crowd that was into the game, so it was a fun experience for us."
After a slow first quarter where the Shockers shot 31.6% from the field compared to the Lions' 46.7%, redshirt senior sparked some momentum, scoring the Shockers' first 11 points of the second quarter and hitting a three with 3:48 left in the half to give Wichita State its first lead of the game.
