NICEVILLE, Fla.—Two Wichita State student-athletes collected second round victories Saturday at the USA F36 Niceville Futures.
Junior Haru Inoue took on Mark Simons of Germany in the second round, and won in straight sets, 6-1, 6-2. The No. 5 seed Inoue will take on Jordi Blanchar of Spain tomorrow in the round of 32.
Inoue will be joined by junior Eddie Stoica who went head-to-head with Elio Ribeiro of Brazil. After dropping the first set, Stoica did what he does best, battled back and won the final two sets , 7-6(4), 6-0.
