KGA Release The senior from Goodland, Kan., became the first golfer in history to win both the KGA stroke play and match play amateur championships during a four-week stint in the middle of summer. Ihrig won the 54-hole Kansas Stroke Play Championship at Sand Creek Station Golf Course in Newton, Kan., after posting an impressive come-from-behind victory, before defeated Oklahoma State golfer Sam Stevens at the Kansas City Country Club in the Match Play Amateur Championship.
