NEW YORK - In his MLB playoff debut, San Francisco Giants third baseman Conor Gillaspie hit a three-run home run in the top of the ninth inning to defeat the New York Mets 3-0 in the 2016 National League Wild Card Game.
Gillaspie, who played for the Shockers from 2006-08, finished the game 2-for-4 with three RBI and the home run.
With the win, the Giants advanced to the NLDS to face the Chicago Cubs. Game one is in Chicago on Fri., Oct. 7 at 8:15 p.m. CT on FS1.
