WICHITA, Kan.- Senior Laine Evans has been named American Athletic Conference Women's Player of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday.
Evans is coming off her highest career finish after coming in a tie for fourth at the KC Intercollegiate, compiling a 54-hole score of 221. Her previous career high was a sixth place finish at the Payne Stewart Memorial earlier this season. Leading the team in stroke average with a 74.91 season mark, Evans claimed her second top 10 finish of the season and her fourth top 20 finish in just eight events.
