KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C.- Behind Laine Evans' 2-under-par performance, the Wichita State women's golf team moved into a tie for sixth after the second round of the Palmetto Intercollegiate.
Evans obtained four birdies on Monday, putting her in a tie for 10th individually. Her second-round score of 70 is now tied for 13th lowest in program history for an 18-hole score.
Senior Gavrilla Arya and junior Michelle Ledermann also made significant contributions in moving Wichita State into the top 10. Arya shot a 74 on Monday to claim a tie for 26th while Ledermann shot a 75 and is tied for 30th after 36 holes.
