ATLANTA – The NBA's Atlanta Hawks announced Monday that they have signed former Wichita State guard Tyson Etienne to a contract and extended him an invitation to preseason training camp.
Etienne went undrafted in June but made a strong impression during July's NBA 2K3 Summer League, averaging 10.2 points in 16.7 minutes over five games in Las Vegas.
In three seasons at Wichita State (2019-22), Etienne was a two-time all-conference selection, earning American Athletic Conference co-player of the year honors in 2021 when he led the Shockers to the league's regular season title and an NCAA tournament bid.
