Eight-Seed Shockers Knocked Out by Top Seed No. 23 South Florida

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – The eighth-seeded Wichita State men's tennis team fell to the top-seeded and 23rd-ranked South Florida Bulls in the quarterfinals of the American Athletic Conference Championship on Friday afternoon.

The Shockers see their season end with a record of 12-13. No. 23 South Florida (20-3) advances to the AAC Semifinals on Saturday.

In doubles, the Shockers came out roaring, taking big leads on all three courts, ultimately cashing in with a 6-2 win Kristof Minarik and Ilias Worthington. Soon after, Vanja Hodzic and Luke Bracks delivered the doubles clinch with a 6-3 win at court three, giving the Shockers the doubles point.
