WICHITA, Kan. -- struck out 10 over seven innings of one-run ball and slammed the door with three strikeouts in the ninth as Wichita State secured a series win with a 4-2 victory over Missouri State on Saturday afternoon at Eck Stadium.
Adler (1-0) allowed just four hits and did not walk a batter, finishing one off his career high in strikeouts. The redshirt senior retired the first 10 hitters he faced and closed his outing by setting down the final five Bears, including consecutive strikeouts to end the seventh.
Wichita State (5-9) gave Adler all the run support he would need with three runs worth of small ball in the bottom of the fourth inning.
