LAS CRUCES, N.M. – Dawson Lewis fired consecutive rounds under 70 to move atop the individual leaderboard and help Wichita State men's golf team to an 11-stroke lead heading into Tuesday's final round at the Herb Wimberly Intercollegiate.
Collectively, the Shockers (282-282 – 564) finished 4-under-par in Monday's 36-hole session and lead New Mexico State (+7), Abilene Christian (+11) and six others with 18 holes to play.
Lewis (67-69 – 136) paces the individual pack by three strokes ahead of NMSU's Ryo Harada (-3). The sophomore's 5-under, 67 in the first round was a career-best and featured six birdies.
