WICHITA, Kan. – Creighton scored four times in the top of the sixth to erase a 3-1 deficit, knocking off Wichita State 8-3 on Saturday afternoon at Eck Stadium.
Creighton (11-6) used three singles, two walks, a hit by pitch and a Wichita State error in their sixth inning rally. Jack Grace tied the game with a two-run single, and pinch-hitter Sterling Hayes gave the Bluejays the lead with a run-scoring single of his own off Shockers starter Payton Tolle (2-2). Alan Roden worked a bases-loaded walk later in the inning to bring home the fourth run of the frame for a 5-3 lead.
