LINCOLN, Neb. – The Wichita State women's tennis team was narrowly defeated by the Washington State Cougars on Saturday afternoon at Sid and Hazel Dillon Tennis Center, 5-2.
Washington State is now 5-0 on the year with the win. Wichita State falls to 1-3.
Doubles was a war that the Shockers would ultimately win. and put together a strong 6-2 win at court three to give the Black and Yellow the early edge. Courts two and three were much closer, with and overcoming a 5-2 deficit to win 7-5 at court one, clinching doubles for the Shockers.
