CHARLESTON, S.C. - Wichita State took an early lead in the second game of Saturday's Cougar Classic, but ultimately fell to College of Charleston 4-1 at Patriots Point.
Wylie Glover came up with a career-high three hits in her first time at the plate for the Shockers, managing to go a perfect 3-for-3. Caitlin Bingham tied her career high in strikeouts with six, pitching all six innings for Wichita State.
Charleston looked to gain the advantage early with a two-out double, but Bingham struck out the next batter and kept the game scoreless.
