WICHITA – Wichita State's Kate Campos and Yared Kidane swept the American Athletic Conference Track Athlete of the Week honors, the conference announced Tuesday afternoon.
Kidane, a redshirt-junior from Sweden, broke the AAC 800-meter record at the Arkansas Qualifier, finishing second with a personal-best time of 1:47.21. He now holds an almost three-second lead on the rest of the conference going into the championship weekend and ranks 25th in the NCAA.
