Alec Bohm, junior infielder of WSU baseball, made the USA Baseball Golden Spikes Award midseason watch list that was released on Tuesday, April 10. The list is composed of 40 of the country’s top amateur players from the collegiate level.
Bohm has three grand slams so far this season, which is a school record for grand slams in a single season. If he has one more, he will be tied for the Wichita State career record of four. Bohm is also tied for the lead in grand slams with Matt Wallner from Southern Mississippi.
When the Shockers played ECU on Thursday, March 29, Bohm had a career high of six RBI.
