DALLAS – Wichita State baseball student-athlete Alec Bohm has been named a semifinalist for the Dick Howser Trophy. The award, given to the top player in collegiate baseball, is based on two rounds of national voting by the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association.
Bohm, a junior third baseman from Omaha, Neb., is hitting .333 with 53 runs, 66 hits, 11 doubles, one triple, 14 home runs, 51 RBI, 36 walks and eight stolen bases this season or the Shockers.
This is the 32nd year of the Dick Howser Trophy. The finalists will be announced on Friday, June 8.
