DURHAM, N.C. – USA Baseball announced that Wichita State baseball student-athlete Alec Bohm has been named one of 25 semifinalists for the Golden Spikes Award.
Presented in partnership with the Rod Dedeaux Foundation, the 41st Golden Spikes Award will be presented on June 28 in Los Angeles.
Bohm, a junior third baseman from Omaha, Neb., hit .332 with 56 runs, 70 hits, 13 doubles, one triple, 15 home runs, 52 RBI, 38 walks and eight stolen bases in 54 regular-season games. He leads the Shockers with 22 multiple-hit games and is the only Wichita State player to play in and start all 54 games.
