After a second place finish last week in the American Athletic Conference, nine Shocker softball players received All-Conference honors on Wednesday.
Sophomore outfielder Addison Barnard was named Player of the Year in the conference. This is the second straight season a Shocker has won this award, after Sydney McKinney won it last year.
Four players on WSU’s roster received All-Conference honors for the first time in their career. One of those players is freshman pitcher Alison Cooper who was named to the All-Rookie team. Ahead of the conference tournament beginning on Thursday, Cooper has an 8-2 win loss record.
