Tag Bonnema is only a freshman, but he has already a Division I offer.
Bonnema, who is a starting linebacker at Zeeland East, announced Sunday via Twitter that he has received a scholarship offer from Western Michigan University.
"Blessed to receive my first D1 offer from Western Michigan University. Thank you Coach Lester & Coach Esposito," the 6-foot-4, 195-pound Bonnema wrote on Twitter.
Bonnema's brother, Boone Bonnema, is a Zeeland East senior who also starts at linebacker. Boone Bonnema committed to Western Michigan earlier this year.
