KALAMAZOO – Western Michigan senior quarterback Zach Terrell has been named to the Wuerffel Trophy Award Watch List. The Wuerffel Award is given to the top player who best combines exemplary community service with athletic and academic achievement.
Terrell has achieved notoriety this summer, being ranked as the No. 12 most efficient QB nationally according to NFL.com. He ranked seventh in the FBS last season in quarterback efficiency and was 10th in accuracy, completing 67.0 percent of his passes (262-of-391). He finished the year with a career-high 3,526 passing yards including 297 yards and two touchdowns in the team’s first bowl win over Middle Tennessee State.
