WR transfer from U-M expected to make immediate impact for Western Michigan

DETROIT -- Western Michigan University struggled last season to replicate the production from receiver Corey Davis, who had 1,500 receiving yards in 2016 before being selected fifth overall in the NFL draft.

The Broncos finished 11th in the Mid-American Conference with 1,998 receiving yards last year, lacking a true deep threat that made the 2016 offense one of the best in the nation.

The team believes it has found an answer to help stretch the field next season in 6-foot-4, 190-pound graduate transfer Drake Harris, who caught nine passes for 60 yards over three seasons at Michigan.
