KALAMAZOO, Mich. - The Western Michigan women's tennis team won its second consecutive match on Saturday morning, shutting out Northern Iowa at the West Hills Athletic Club.
"I thought we came out and played a good match today," said head coach Ryan Tomlinson. "I was proud of the way we handled things being a little short handed and our depth and ability to play anyone at different spots in the lineup really helped us out there."
At No. 1 doubles, sophomore Femke Tjon-A-Joe and junior Jeryn Jack teamed up to defeat Emma Carr and Kim Zizek 6-0.
