KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women’s tennis team will open up its spring season with a pair of non-conference dual matches against Oakland and Valparaiso, both teams reside in the Horizon Conference. The Oakland match will begin at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 16 and the Valpo match to begin afterwards at 6 p.m. with both being played at West Hills Athletic Club.
“It’s going to feel great to get back on the courts as a team and compete,” First year head coach Ryan Tomlinson said. “Non-conference play is really important for us from a competition perspective because each week gives us the opportunity to get better leading up to our conference play at the end of March.
