KALAMAZOO, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's tennis team split its weekend matches, falling to Youngstown State 7-0 on Saturday before rebounding with a 5-2 win over Cleveland State at West Hills Athletic Club.
YSU earned the doubles point with wins at No. 1 and No. 2 and was leading at No. 3 when that match was abandoned. In singles, no Bronco was able to win a set.
CSU also took the doubles point from WMU after a pair of 7-5 wins at No. 1 and No. 2. The match was tied heading into doubles, as the Broncos were awarded a point because Cleveland State could only field five singles competitors.
