DEKALB, Ill. -- The Western Michigan women's tennis team fell on the road at Mid-American Conference leaders, Northern Illinois, 5-2 on Sunday.
DOUBLES
The Broncos started off strong, taking the doubles point from the Huskies. and gave WMU the early advantage with a 6-3 win at No. 2 over Isabella Righi and Lucia Recora. and then secured the point for the Broncos with a 7-5 win at No. 1 over Maria Dzemeshkevich and Nataly Ninova.
SINGLES
NIU tied it up at 1-1 with a win at No. 3 by Yecora over 4-6, 6-4, 6-2.
