KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women’s tennis team moved even in the Mid-American Conference this season at 1-1 with a 6-1 win over Bowling Green Sunday afternoon at Sorensen Courts.
“We played pretty well for playing outdoors in March, that will help us moving forward,” head coach Ryan Tomlinson said. “I thought No. 2 doubles (Barbare Eristavi/Katja Fevralev) did a nice job of bouncing back and clinching the doubles point today. Then when Meika Ashby and Denise Azcui put points on the board early it helped the momentum of the match in our favor.
