The Broncos dominated the first half, outshooting the Eagles by a total of 15-1 (6-1 on goal). WMU also had 12 corner kicks in the opening 45 minutes. Blitchok tested EMU goalkeeper Ella Holland in the opening minutes of the half. She was able to make the save to open the match.
