BOWLING GREEN, Ohio – The Western Michigan women's soccer team's season came to an end on Friday evening after falling to Ball State, 1-0, in double-overtime in the Mid-American Conference Tournament Semifinal at Bowling Green State University.
The game-winner came at 104:39 after a Bronco deflected a cross by Lauren Roll into the net.
It was a back-and forth game with BSU outshooting WMU 16-12. Redshirt freshman goalkeeper Hannah Sargent made 10 saves in the loss. The Cardinals had five shots on goal in the first half, carrying possession for times but the Broncos fought back in the second half to control the game.
