KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's soccer team fell to Ball State in double overtime, 2-1, at the WMU Soccer Complex on Sunday afternoon.
BSU's Peighton Cook drove down into the right side of the field and crossed from just outside the box. Julia Elvbo got a foot on it and sent it into the top left corner of the net in the 105th minute to win it for the Cardinals.
It was the Broncos (5-7-1, 3-2-1 MAC) that struck first, scoring in the 26th minute. The two teams had to adjust to wind gusts of up to 25 miles per hour.
