KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The 2015 Western Michigan women's soccer team has been honored by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America for the 2015-16 academic year, earning the NSCAA Team Academic Award.
To qualify for the award, a team must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year. The Broncos finished with a 3.55, third-highest the amongst the seven Mid-American Conferences schools that were also honored.
"I'm very happy with our program's commitment to the classroom," said head coach Lauren Sinacola. "We receive great academic support here at Western Michigan, allowing us the opportunity to excel both on the field and in the classroom.
