Women's soccer earns much needed victory

As the season whines down, every game is important and has post season implications. Western Michigan (7-8-1, 5-3-1 MAC) helped their cause on Thursday night beating Toledo (6-11, 3-6 MAC) 1-0 and remained in the top four in the Mid-American Conference rankings.

The Broncos controlled much of the play during the first half recording seven shots compared to Toledo’s two. Bailey Korhorn, Lydia Bajema and Jorden Campbell locked down the midfield and disrupted the Toledo attack.

After heading into halftime knotted at one, Western started the second half strong and found the game-winning goal in the 54th minute.
