ATHENS, Ohio – The Western Michigan women's basketball team lost to Ohio University on the road 67-64 Wednesday, despite Kaitlyn Zarycki's game high 24 points.
During the first quarter of play the Broncos were on fire and shot 50% from three point range for a total of five treys beyond the arch during the first 10 minutes of play. In the first quarter, Zarycki would make three of her six three pointers on the evening to lead the Brown and Gold with nine points (3-3 from three). After falling behind 16-10, Artemis Kouki and Zarycki combined for three treys during the final two minutes of the quarter to complete a 9-0 Bronco run to cap off the first.
