WMU women's basketball came away with a 79-71 victory on Saturday against the Akron Zips at University Arena.
The win came at a good time for the Broncos as it snapped a two-game losing skid and pushed their record to 4-3 in conference play and 11-7 overall.

WMU displayed a high sense of basketball IQ throughout the game in the win. The Broncos shared the ball and finished the game with a combined total of 21 assists. Plays were perfected early and often, which allowed easy open shots for the Broncos to take an early lead.
