KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's basketball team placed three on the Academic All-Mid-American Conference (MAC) team, as senior Meredith Shipman and sophomores Meredith Miller and Logan McCane earned the award.

A total of 52 student-athletes were named to the team from this past season. Bowling Green, Miami, Northern Illinois and Toledo all placed six student-athletes on the 2016-17 team, while Central Michigan and Kent State followed close behind with five honorees.
Shipman was the leader of the team as the only true senior, as she was named Third Team All-MAC after averaging 12.
