KALAMAZOO, Mich. – The Western Michigan women's basketball team lost its in-state rival Michigan State University Sunday evening 72-49. In the loss, graduate student guard Hannah Spitzley swiped two steals and scored a team-high 15 points after shooting 62.5% from the field.
In the opening 10 minutes of play, MSU limited the Broncos to eight points. Spitzley paced the Broncos with a team-best five points in the quarter.
