MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- The Western Michigan women's basketball team was in a tough back and forth game against rival Central Michigan Wednesday night, but ultimately fell 53-51 in McGuirk Arena with game coming down to the final seconds.
The Broncos drop to 12-8 overall and 4-4 in Mid-American Conference (MAC) play while the Chippewas improve to 12-7 and 6-2 in the MAC and extend their winning streak to three games.
The most crucial play came with 2:21 to play in the game as CMU scrambled to get a shot off before the shot clock expired.
